Hello, my name is Dr. Patrick Hisel (Family Physician). I am Board Certified in Family & Community Medicine and Board Certified in Preventative Health Addiction Medicine. My office is in Weatherford, TX. I graduated with honors, earning my bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and a MD from The University Of Texas Medical School at San Antonio.

I have more than 20 years of diverse experience; I care for all aspects of Family Medicine, with an emphasis on Geriatrics, Addiction, Mental Health, Weight Loss, Diabetes, and heart disease. I have been in the area since 2003, working as an independent primary care physician. I started first in Mineral Wells, then I transitioned over to Weatherford in 2020. My only office is now only in Weatherford.

I recently became employed by IntraCare and am now part of the team. I have been a Medical Director for Hospice since 2004. Since 2013, I have been the Medical Director for Stonegate Center, a residential drug and alcohol treatment center in Azle, TX.

I am affiliated with multiple medical facilities, including Palo Pinto General Hospital and Stonegate Center in Azle. I currently treat patients in my independent medical clinic and securely via Telemedicine.

My special interests are in Medicare Patients, working with them to improve the quality of care and to keep them out of the hospital. I also have an affinity towards minority and/or marginalized populations; I want to advocate for them and their health care. I am an LGBTQ supporter. In my practice, I particularly enjoy helping patients improve in mental health and addiction issues. I enjoy playing piano, painting, and video games.
