Joseph Lillo, DO
Dr. Joseph Lillo has lived in the East Valley since the age of two. He received his medical degree from A. T. Still University of Health Sciences in Kirksville, Missouri. Following his doctorate, he did a rotating internship at Phoenix General Hospital and entered private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he has been serving patients for over 42 years.
Dr. Lillo is board certified in Family practice and clinical lipidology and is also a Certified Principal Investigator. He has become a Fellow of the National Lipid Association and the Association of Physicians in Clinical Research.
He has a true passion for medicine, and in addition to his private practice, he runs a clinical research site two days a week, lectures in the cardiovascular arena, and now has more than 12 publications in cardiovascular research and therapy. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Family Practice at Honor Health Osborne and Tempe St. Luke’s. In addition to multiple volunteer positions over the years, he served as President of the Board of Directors of the Southwest Chapter of the National Lipid Association, dedicated to the treatment of cholesterol-related disorders in 2020–2021.
Dr. Lillo partnered with IntraCare, which will help him offer outstanding care to his patient base and provide room for growth and additional healthcare providers to better serve the medical needs of current and future new patients moving forward.
He enjoys high-intensity exercise, reading, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also dedicates his spare time to the care of the severely disabled, in particular those with traumatic brain injuries.
